Open the brick wall image

Image>Image Size – set the width to 1200, auto height, click OK

Select>All

Edit>Copy (Ctrl + C)

Open a new file, 1200 x 900, 72 px resolution, white background

Edit>Paste (Ctrl + V)

Select the Text Tool, a large, heavy font (I used Boulder, size 300pt), foreground colour black.

Type the first required word

Right click on the layer in the layers palette and click Rasterize Type

With the text tool still selected, type the next required word

Rasterize type as before

Using the Transform Tool (Ctrl + T) and/or the Move Tool, line up the text as required

Right click on the top layer in the layers palette and click Merge Down

Ctrl + Click on the thumbnail of the text layer in the layers palette to select the pixels

Make the brick wall layer active

Edit>Copy (Ctrl + C)

Edit>Paste (Ctrl + V)

Drag the new layer to the top of the palette (now you shouldn’t be able to see the text)

Double click on the layer in the layers palette to bring up the blending options and apply the following Bevel & Emboss and Color Overlay settings:

Reduce the layer opacity to 85%

Double click on the wall layer to bring up the blending options and apply the following Satin settings:

Turn off the visibility of the background layer

Right click on any visible layer and click Merge Visible

Ctrl + T to transform the object

Right click within the transformation box and click Perspective

Push the bottom right corner handle upwards to make the wall look like it is going away from you.

Right click within the transformation box and click Scale

Push the wall inwards from the right centre handle until the text looks right.

Select the Crop Tool and drag a selection around the text, making sure the whole selection is filled with the wall

Double click in the box to crop the image

  2. Amazing . How simple is that. I can’t believe it. Looks like difficult but so easy.
